Our next place of visit is the Grand Mosque of Paris. You’ll need to take the metro to Place Monge. April 2015
As you exit the stop via the escalator, to your right is the morning market and straight ahead is a pharmacy. Cross the street to the pharmacy, walk to the end of the block (about 5 shop lots or so) until you reach a junction. Turn left and upon crossing the street, you be able to notice the minaret of the mosque.
This area has a few halal restaurants if you care to walk around. There is a Moroccan restaurant at one corner of the mosque but is pack during lunch time. Be warned, the menu prices is a little steep.

The Grillades Cafe as marked on the map above serves halal food. It was surprising to see a note on the glass in our national language – ‘Selamat Datang, Makanan Halal’ – Welcome, halal food.
