Our van tour to Giethoorn is being handled by tourist-shuttle.com The pick up from our apartment was on time and we went downtown Amsterdam to pick up another two couples. This van tour is on a booking basis and does not run every day. As mentioned in an earlier post, before reaching Giethoorn, we made a stop-over at a charming fishing town of Enkhuizen.
The weather for the day has been drizzling from Amsterdam only stopping before we reached Giethroon. However, the wind was blowing and with a single digit temperature, made us felt cold. After the boat tour, we just had lunch at a sea food cafe and did not explore Giethoorn on foot.
Giethoorn has many picturesque photo spots but my photos does not do justice as it was taken inside the boat through glaring windows with rain droplets. The distance from the canal to the houses on the banks are close thus not capable of photographing the subject and it’s surrounding. And getting a seat that’s sideward looking on a narrow boat does not help either. It was really disheartening not to be able to explore Giethoorn on foot but probably god has destined me to come again.

The canal boat. There are glass windows on the side and front. Does not help in photography as it causes glares and retain rain droplets.
