Quick links : Mosque/MasjidSki Dubai Day 26, the last day of our holiday. Our Emirates flight home to Malaysia is 9:35 p.m. arriving Kuala Lumpur 8:55 a.m. the next day. We spent this day in our hotel room until check out at 12:00 p.m. We’ve never felt this tired as we’ve never been on the move for more than 14 days before. Left our luggage at the hotel and took the metro to the Mall of the Emirates as we’ve not been there on our previous trip.
The Mall of the Emirates is accessible via covered walkalators from the metro station. (I’ve been made to understand walkalators are also now available at Dubai Mall. Previously, you’ll need to take a bus from the metro station as it is quiet a distance.) Here you’ll find branded stores, restaurants, food court, entertainment and Ski Dubai … that winter resort in a mall, in the desert. We just window shop to pass time and had a late lunch. Thereafter we performed our prayers in the mall’s spacious mosque located on the top floor.

We returned from the Mall of the Emirates to our hotel late evening to pick up our luggage and then headed straight to the airport. From the hotel to the airport in a slight traffic congestion, the taxi cost us 29Dh. As mentioned earlier, be aware the airport luggage trolley retains static electricity, so avoid touching the metal parts. It won’t electrocute you, just a biting sensation.
We had left home for 28 days total and looking forward to get home and see our children. No plans for the remaining 2015 but we’ll never know. We’ve never planned to visit a certain place at certain time but our trips are motivated upon seeing a picture of a beautiful place. Norway, Azores, Costa del Sol, Gibraltar, St Marten …… lets see.

For our stay in Abu Dhabi, we have booked City Seasons Al Hamra Hotel, via Agoda. The hotel is located at the junction of Najdah and Electra street. Close by to Abu Dhabi mall but I wouldn’t want to walk in the hot sun. Check-in was swift and we were attended by courteous and friendly desk staff. The room was the cheapest but the amenities was fantastic. Powerful and stable wi-fi and daily newspapers were complimentary. I would rate ★★★★½ stars for this hotel. Truly enjoyed.
