We had chosen to stay at Hotel Bernina, Milan due to its close proximity to Milan Centrale station. It’s just a 5 minutes walk from the exit of the station and it’s step free all the way until the front door of the hotel itself. Then, it’s a couple of steps to the reception. There is a small lift to take you up to your floor. The room is a little smallish but at the rates on offer, it was reasonable as it includes breakfast and wi-fi among others. There are also other hotels beside and to the front of Hotel Bernina to choose from.
Ample electrical power sockets are in the room but it’s rather odd as it’s non-standard. Refer the 2 photos below. The normal (thin) 2-pin plug used in Malaysia can be inserted without adapter. Voltage output is at 220-240 volts. There are public parking in-front of the hotel.
The main reason we chose this location is due to the fact many halal eateries are around this area. We’ll give the locations in the next post.
