Tuscany Road Trip – Day 3

April 2016

We left Hotel Borgo Antico in Monteroni with a heavy heart to our next destination, Pisa. Whilst we are aware San Gimignano is along our route, we choose not to stop. We have read that cars needed to be parked outside of the town and then take a shuttle bus to reach San Gimignano. Not wanting to get into this hassle, we continued driving to Pisa.

Along the way, there was not much scenic views and most part of the journey was passing light commercial areas and eventually into the dual carriage highway into Pisa. There were a couple of spot worth turning our heads but isn’t captivating compared to the views of the previous days. The drive is slightly more than 2 hours and we reached Grand Hotel Bonanno by lunch time. There could have been a scenic route into Pisa but since we were using navigation app, this was the route presented to us. So, apologies for the dull post.

There were a few spots like so, but nothing scenic compared to Pienza or La Foce.
